One of the hallmarks of the Opportunity Schools is the on-site support we provide for our satellite programs.
- On-site Teacher Mentoring: Opportunity teachers receive hundreds of hours of individual support from Opportunity School staff. This includes observations, demonstration lessons, student assessment, counseling, and consultation with mainstream teachers.
- Academic Coach training and support: An Academic Coach (Opportunity teacher, volunteer or high school student assistant) provides mainstream classroom support for Opportunity students.
- Mid- and End-of-the-Year Evaluation: To ensure quality control of the program, evaluations are conducted twice a year.
